Gay Scott Heath's and Marie Reynolds Lanois's Memory
You ask us to write an memorable experience while in school, well here's mine and
Marie Reynolds experience:
Marie and I went on an interview with former President Truman and James Hoffa because our
teacher Mr. Flicop in the 12th grade Government Class challenged anyone to get an interview
with the two individuals above and he gave the class questions to ask each and required a
signature from each. So, we skipped school to meet this challenge after getting a date and
time to visit each person. What fun it was to get this chance for we met each other in
DC. and went to see James Hoffa first and he was simply delightful. Once we had finished
our interview with James Hoffa we then went to former President Truman and he was very nice
but seemed disinterested in interviewing two young girls, but did answered all our questions
and gave us his signature and then we left feeling very proud of doing this. Next day we
informed Mr. Flicop of our trip with all the questions answered and the signatures in tow.
Well, Mr. Flicop sent us to the office for we didn't get permission to be absent from
school. Once arriving to the office, they called each of our parents and we not only got
in trouble in school but at home. However, was it worth it? Oh, yes.
